#scottsentme2019 Is Now Available On Facebook Too!
I hope you had a great weekend and made progress visiting lots of quilt shops for the #scottsentme2019 challenge. I hit none this weekend as my daddy duties are in full swing and I am stuck at 14 visits. Quite frankly, my daddy duties have been crushing me lately and it has been impacting my blogging. Did anyone even notice that I didn’t post a blog last week?
But seriously, my kids are very active and it’s hard to find time to write. I cannot wait for the work week to start….that is my weekend. Consider it a 5 day weekend. On top of that, I am still coming from behind from being away in Alaska and the Carolinas. The struggles are real people and I can’t get close to catching up. For a guy with some OCD, this is worse than you think. With all that being said, being that I am in the office every day this week, I am hoping and to get my ducks in a row.
More importantly, let’s cut to the chase and let me tell you the big news that I revealed last week. Before I do that though, let me not take anything for granted and allow me to give you, in case you didn’t know, a brief overview of the challenge. I am challenging consumers to visit as many quilt shops as they can from September 1 to November 31. I will have lots of great prizes valued well over $3000 for those that visit the most shops, some folks will be chosen for prizes at random and I will offer some interim prizes along the way. The key for the contest is making sure that you have the proof of your visits for when it is time to prove to me all the shops that you visited. I had originally planned to have all proof submitted exclusively on my scott_fortunoff Instagram page with the #scottsentme2019 hashtag.
Word got back to me that not everyone is on Instagram and here comes the news. In my efforts to be as inclusive as possible, and to make this contest as big and popular as possible, I have decided to also allow people to show their proof on Facebook. In order to find the #scottsentme2019 Facebook group, you need to go to my @jaftexpresident page. Down the left side you will see a list that says home, posts, reviews, videos, photos, about, community and then groups. Click on groups. The group you want is the #scottsentme2019 and it has the logo that you see at the top of this post. It is a public group so anyone can join.
The thing about me is that I am not afraid to make changes in the middle of the game. If the time is there to make a change for the better, I will gladly do it. In the case of the contest being added to Facebook in addition to Instagram, I think I am going to look back and say that it made a huge difference in growing the breadth of participation because the bigger, the better.
With all that being said, I beg of you to keep sharing the info about the contest with anyone you know that is into fabric, quilt shops and travel. You can find all the contest information that you could possibly need right here. While you are on that page, if you scroll down, you can see all the special offers from shops that want to entice you to visit them for the challenge. I gotta say that there are some very enticing offers. If you are a shop owner and have not submitted a special, you can still do that until the end of this month, but please don’t delay.
Please note that just because a shop is not listed for offering a special, it doesn’t mean that you can’t visit that shop.
Know that every shop in the US & Canada is fair game for a visit for this contest…even if the shop owner has no idea what you are talking about when you run in yelling, “Scottsentme!”
With that folks, allow me to wish you much luck. Enjoy the amazing quilt shops that are all around us. Enjoy all the fabric-tainment that I am trying to provide you. And when you are planning your next trip in your car, make sure to include a shop visit. Just ask Google for the nearest quilt shop. And lastly, keep buying fabrics from my awesome companies: Blank Quilting, FreeSpirit Fabrics, Henry Glass Fabrics, Studioe Fabrics, A.E. Nathan Co., Inc., 3 Wishes & Fabric Editions! Be safe and have fun!

Thank you SEW very much for the #scottsentme2019 challenge! We’re having tons of fun while visiting new shops, buying lots more fabric, and making new forever friends. ♥ Don’t worry about not having all of your ducks in a row as long as they’re all in the same pond. ☺
