“Winter Fun in the Summer Sun” – An Unboxing Video Challenge for Quilt Shops
WHO: This challenge is for any quilt shop or online fabric retailer in the domestic United States who sells Jaftex fabrics (The Blank Quilting Corporation, FreeSpirit Fabrics, Henry Glass Fabrics, Studio E Fabrics or 3 Wishes). You must be a Jaftex direct customer to participate i.e. not buying through a distributor. Canadian retailers who are FreeSpirit customers may participate too.
WHAT: This is a challenge for you to create an unboxing video highlighting your Jaftex fabrics as soon as they arrive at your place of business. Your video should be no more than 10 minutes long, but shorter is typically better to maintain interest. Once you film your video, you will then need to upload the video to your business Facebook page, email the Facebook post link to jaftex2022@gmail.com and it will be shared on Scott Fortunoff’s Facebook page: @JaftexPresident
WHY: Unboxing videos are popular among retailers for showing new products to their followers while also narrating their actions and talking about the amazing fabrics inside the box. They show product in a favorable light and this is a trending form of advertising and marketing that you should consider trying now if you don’t do it already. This will be a chance for you to show off new products and entice new customers to visit and buy from you. We want to help you by sharing your video with Scott’s over 17,000 followers.
WHEN: Sunday, May 15, 2022 through Wednesday, June 15, 2022, (No unboxing videos will be posted on the @JaftexPresident Facebook page until Monday, May 16, 2022). The video you make must be a video you made this year and it must not have been posted prior to Sunday, May 15, 2022. You can make your video sooner and have it ready to post, but all videos need to start with zero views so no one has a head start. We will start sharing the videos on Monday, May 16, 2022. We will post the videos in the order that they are received with some space between each video so everyone has a fair chance at getting a similar amount of exposure.
HOW: Videotape a Facebook live unboxing video or pre-record an unboxing video of a Jaftex fabric shipment of Winter/Christmas/Seasonal lines that have arrived at your shop recently. (Keep in mind that Facebook live videos get more attention than pre-recorded videos so live is highly recommended to maximize exposure). Then, post it to your business Facebook page! Then share your posted Facebook video link with the Jaftex Marketing team by emailing the video link to: jaftex2022@gmail.com . The sooner you get your video in, the more time you have to get the most views needed to secure a win. To be clear, we will only be measuring Facebook views on Scott’s Facebook page only @JaftexPresident. The winners will be determined on Friday, June 17, 2022, before 12 noon eastern time.
