My Favorite May Shipping Collections

I am enjoying the warm weather now that it is May and hoping the cold days are behind us. Let’s get into my favorite collections that are shipping out this month.

My favorite shipping collection for Blank Quilting Corp is Cowboy Culture. Saddle up as I tell you what spins my spurs about this collection. The sandy palette perfectly coordinates with a variety of home spaces. Using the blocks in this group you can easily create a quilt worth riding home to snuggle up under with your partner.

The tooled leather pattern in this group looks three-dimensional and easily pairs with other non-cowboy prints. I also love the cowhide patch pattern which looks furry to the touch. Lasso in your favorite patterns from this group and saddle up to your sewing machine to get started on your next project using Cowboy Culture. Yeehaw!

My favorite shipping collection for FreeSpirit is Laboratory by Tim Holtz, who as you know is one of my favorite designers. I love the molecular patterns as at first it is not obvious what it is. For anyone in your life researching in a scientific field, this would be a great collection to use to create gifts for them. This collection also easily transitions into the spooky Halloween season but can be left out all year and still fit in with your typical home decor. Looking forward to seeing the experiments you all create with Laboratory!

My favorite collection for Henry Glass is My Childhood Christmas. I love the jolly Santa that is in this collection. If you want something nostalgic for the holidays this is the perfect group to decorate your home with. Use the table runner panel for a fun centerpiece for Christmas dinner.

There is also a double-border Santa print which would make a festive tablecloth. Don’t worry about what you will hang along the fireplace as there is a stocking panel that will have you decking the halls before you know it. The patchwork pattern will make any project look like a masterpiece, I highly recommend making a tree skirt with it. Snow Angels is my favorite collection shipping out from Studio E this month. This playful winter collection features such charming animals. I can’t help but smile when I see the print with the animals making snow angels. The block panel in this group will help you get started on a quilt like the Angels in the Snow Quilt which is free on the Henry Glass website.

I plan on creating some small quilts from this collection to gift to family or friends with children as it’s a fun collection that any child would love. They’ll want to curl up under it after playing in the snow outside. No matter where the quilt ends up during the holiday season it will match your festive decor.
