And In This Corner, Henry Glass July 2023!

It’s Wednesday! I hope you all have been hanging in there with me and this week’s blog series of high-level previews of what the Jaftex July 2023 releases will look like. Monday, I showed you what The Blank Quilting Corp. was offering. Tuesday, we had FreeSpirit from Nancy Jewell, the Managing Director of FreeSpirit. We are here now for Henry Glass and tomorrow I will finish it up with Studio E!

Brushstrokes by Color Principle, shipping January, 21 amazing colors of this new basic (see below), fat quarters, 2.5″ strips and 5″ and 10″ charms. We got it all for you! It is a new texture design that mimics the varying brushstrokes of a painter. Check it out!

Bug, Bug, Bug by new designer Tim Read. Ships in March, 8-SKUs, one of the SKUS is a 36″ soft counting book panel. This is a small quilt group with nice bug motifs that can be unisex. I can only imagine lots of fun projects with this one. In the meantime, check out the book panel.

Crimson Garden by Deborah Velasquez, 12-SKUS and ships February. This lovely red, grey and black coordinated line is full of loads of great prints. You can mix these designs with other fabrics of the same colors. You can use them all together and make something like this free project below. That project can find on the website where the collection is located or where all the projects are housed.

Grill & Chill by Emily Dumas, 13-SKUS and ships in March. You guessed it, a new and fun bbq collection. This new line has it all: fruit and veggie prints, paisleys, a bandana print, an engineered apron design, condiments and grilling utensils. The only thing that I think is missing is a nice cold beer, but that’s me. Anyway, let me show you the neat apron. To the person wearing the apron, “You do the grillin’, let me do the chillin’. Just sayin’.

The Liberty Hill Collection in conjunction with the accompanying 108″ group is by Color Principle. The collection contains 17-SKUS and the 108″ includes 3 colorations. The 108″ comes in 18-YARD bolts only. All deliver in March. The latest and greatest patriotic collection. We cannot have enough of these lines. There are so many great causes that this fabric could be used for. Let me show you a few of the prints and stop talking for a little.

That ground is cream, not white in case you were wondering. 24″ panel pattern 3195P/44.
Star blocks pattern 3196/77.
These are the 3 colorways of pattern 3197W-44 (cream), 77 (navy) and 88 (red).

Monster’ocity by Shelly Comiskey of Simply Shelly Designs….with GLOW! 12-SKUS that ship in February. Don’t tell anyone, but glow sells…..like crazy! The glow lines are some of our best sellers.

I always like to joke that a lot of the quilt shops have glow fabric in their shop bathrooms. That way when you enter you can see the fabric glowing and it is pretty cool. Personally, one night my kids had a sleepover and we threw glow fabric all over. I was quite shocked about how well it really glowed….and the kids were too. Oh yeah, and the monsters are pretty awesome too. Glow baby glow!

It’s not even Halloween yet!

Paisley Paradise 108″, 18-YARD put-ups, 5 colorways and it ships in March. I like these! I like them a lot! Which is your favorite? I am between the patriotic version (color 78) and the psychedelic version (color 123). If those are too snazzy for you, you can always go with gray or cream if you like a calmer backing.

Pattern 1181.

Quilter’s Flour V, 20-SKUs, ships in January and comes in 15-YARD put-ups only. This is our latest and greatest grouping of pigment white-on-white prints. You can go to the website to see these. They are hard to see on the screen. Let’s just say that you have a lots of great options to choose from.

Squircle 108″ by City Art Studios, 6-SKUS and ships in March. It’s not a square. It’s not a circle either. It’s a Squircle. Meet another one of our newest 108″ collections. See below. The picture says it all. Gorgeous baby!

This Calls For Cake by Emily Dumas, 11-SKUS and it ships March. It won’t be a party if you don’t decorate the venue with all these awesome party fabrics. The primary colors are super cheery and are sure to keep you in a good mood during your celebration. If those don’t keep you in a good mood, I am sure a delicious cake will. If it were my party, I would vote for vanilla with vanilla icing and some rainbow-colored sprinkles. What is your dream cake flavor?

And last, but certainly not least…..drum roll please. The latest and greatest from Kim Diehl…..Tranquility. A 15-SKU basic i.e. 15 different colors of the design below in red. We also included a pigment white-on-white colorway. These come in 10-yard put-ups only. Shop owners that buy the entire collection will have the opportunity to get an early fat quarter bundle of every color and 1 yard of the pigment white-on-white. With this bundle, we will have a free project that could be made so when the fabric arrives in the shop there is plenty of inspiration. We are also offering precuts with this line including fat quarters, strips, 5″ and 10″ charms. This line will start shipping in Ships February.

And with that, there you have a short synopsis of the Henry Glass July 2023 release. What’s your favorite?
