Introducing the New Jaftex Brand Ambassador Program (Part 4 of 4)

Meet The Henry Glass Brand Ambassadors

Felicia Frakes

“I have always believed that being a lifelong learner is the key to personal growth. So with that mindset, I took on the adventure of learning to quilt.  Quilting has taught me how to get uncomfortable, create, try and even fail.  Along the path that I started, the math and measurements became an adventure in new relationships, service and a way to share love through the warmth of a quilt. Janie McCombs

“I started quilting when I was in my early 20’s. I get my inspiration from quilting magazines, blogs and research on the internet for a specific block or quilt layout. I enjoy sharing my work in progress through social media with a lot of photos.” Follow her on Instagram, @janie.mccombs and on Facebook.

Jessica Dayon

My name is Jessica Dayon and I love to make things!  I am a wife and mother. I love to do just about any craft out there, most specifically, cross stitch, embroidery, crochet and hand sewing.  When I started quilting, I really found my true passion.  Shortly after I started, I began designing quilt patterns.  I love every step of the process.  I have a love creating alongside others.  I enjoy hosting quilt-alongs and sharing my patterns.  The online quilting community is amazing and I really enjoy being a part of it.” Follow her on Instagram, @jessicadayon and on her blog, www.jessicadayon.blogspot.com

Kara Benavides

“My three passions in life are faith, family and fabric.  My kids can testify that nothing gets me quite as excited as a package of new fabric in the mail.  It is a real catharsis for me.  Others may desire a trip to Disney World, but give me a trip to my local fabric shop any day (or a trip to the Jaftex warehouse!).” Follow her on Instagram, @karabvides.

Lisa England

Sewing and other crafts have been a part of my life since I was a teenager.  I have been making quilts for over 25 years and still find it fascinating and rewarding.  Piecing (especially foundation paper piecing!) is my favorite part of the quilting process.  After years of quilting on a non-computerized mid-arm machine, I have recently upgraded to a computerized Handi-Quilter so I am having fun playing with new quilting options.  You can see photos of some of my quilts at https://www.flickr.com/photos/quilts_by_lisa/

Made with “Plant Kindess” by Janet Rae Nesbitt of OneSister Designs.

Lynn Wilder

“I have been quilting for 25 years and started my own design company, Sew’n Wild Oaks, twelve years ago.  My background is geography and there is a great similarity between making a map and making a quilt.  It all comes down to color, patterns on the land and patterns on the quilts.  I live in a log cabin in the woods in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California with my husband and dog.  The beauty in the area inspires me to design classic, traditional quilts with reproduction fabrics.” Follow Lynn on her blog, Instagram and Facebook.

Made with “Far Horizons” by David Schulz.

Sharon Denney Parcel

“There has always been a desire within me to create and make things with my hands.  I am happiest and at peace when I am quilting. I love every part of the process….even binding.  Wait….there is one part I do not like, and that is making the quilt sandwich to begin quilting.  Through out my life, I tried many creative endeavors, but quilting has stuck with me the longest and it is my main love.  Art journaling and drawing are certainly close behind!” Follow Sharon on Instagram, @punkydoodle53.

Made with “Violet’s Garden” by Mary Jane Carey of Holly Hill Quilt Designs.

I hope you engage with them when you see their future posts on our company social media platforms. This is the last post of the four-part series. I hope you enjoyed it.
