New World, New Sales Plan Of Attack

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a fabulous weekend. Happy belated Mother’s Day to all you amazing mothers, grand mothers and great grand mothers out there.

Now that our fabric world has been turned upside down on its head due to Covid 19, we at the Jaftex Corporation have had to kind of “re-invent” ourselves in the manner by which we are selling our newest fabric collections. The thing is that the days of independent sales reps visiting shops is on hold for as long as social distancing is in play. Perhaps sales rep visits will become a thing of the past, but the jury isn’t out yet. Time will tell, unless the new methods of sales are far superior and preferred. Stay tuned.

It should be interesting to see how this all plays out and how our industry changes with the times. After much thought and debate, my team and I determined that virtual lookbooks would be the best way to disseminate imagery and sell our newest May 2020 collections.

Below are all the newest lookbooks from FreeSpirit Fabrics, Henry Glass Fabrics, Studio E Fabrics, The Blank Quilting Corp. and 3 Wishes that we have worked hard to disseminate as far and wide as possible. We have sent these to our mailing lists, shared on social sites, had reps send to customers directly and so on. We are hopeful that this will do the job to get our lines in front of as many eyes as possible. This is just the first step though.

The next, and probably most important, step is that the ball is now in the hands of our sales rep, inside sales teams and customer service reps to get orders written. It is the sales rep’s responsibility to reach out to customers and arrange a time for a Zoom call, a conference call, Facetime or a plain old phone call. These calls are to help tie up the loose ends for customers, answer customer questions and hopefully that will all result in orders being taken by our sales reps. Thank you in advance to all our customers for being flexible during these unusual times.

Outside of those avenues, the plan is to keep sharing these lines as much as possible so our customers continue to see these lines over and over. With that, I invite you to review all the lookbooks below. If you are a shop owner, please consider buying all your favorites and those that your customers will love too. If you are a consumer, perhaps you want to peruse the lookbooks and tell your favorite quilt shop owner to buy specific lines that you will want to purchase when these lines ship in the fourth quarter.
