Let Talk About The Henry Glass March 2024 Release

As I have mentioned before, Henry Glass is an anomaly in that the company has a March and May release, whereas Studio E, The Blank Quilting Corp. and FreeSpirit only have an April release. In this March 2024 release, there are 15 new lines shipping from September 2024 to January 2025. Why don’t we dive in?

A Place To Call Home by Grace Violet Designs is the first line to discuss. The collection contains 12 prints and will ship in November. As you know, I am a dog fan so this one is certainly up my alley. The dogs in the collection are well-drawn and super cute. What’s great about this line is that it covers various breeds of dogs so it has a little something for everyone. Hopefully, your breed of dog is represented.

That’s my Charlie in case you were wondering. He’s a red Golden Retriever.
I think I see a Charlie with the red bandana on the middle left. Charlie, is that you?

Back In Black is by one of our new designers, Goldi L. Studio. The title is a play on the very famous song by AC/DC. This collection has 17 prints and ships in November. This is a new concept for us. The fabrics are pigment printed, but with black dye, as opposed to the more common pigment white on white. How this works is the fabric is first dyed black and then the design is screen printed on top of the fabric.

I look forward to seeing if this pigment black idea takes hold. Perhaps it will be as popular as the white on white prints. Since it is hard to show the black on black designs on the computer screen, I am going to show you the one print from the group that helps to tie it all together that actually has some color. Some of the other prints in the group can be described as: cats and mice, diamonds, dragonflies, snowflakes, words and sew much more.

Berrylicous by Jane Shasky is next. This 11 design collection ships in January. As I am sure you can guess, this line is all about berries…..blueberries! This soft colored blue and green collection is perfect for kitchen decor for sure. In addition to mouth watering looking blueberries, there are some light green butterflies included too. Aside from there being a 24″ panel with several labels, there is an engineered 24″ placemat panel to make 4 placemats. What would be better than having a berry smoothie sitting on your berry placemat? I can not think of a better and healthier situation since blueberries have lots of healthy attributes.

Is this a berry good print or what?

Big Kitties by Shelly Comiskey might be my favorite line here. Shelly’s art just speaks to me and she has the greatest hand. Although this is a juvenile line, it is right up my alley because the designs are so stinkin’ adorable. If I were a little kid, I would beg my mom to decorate my room with this fabric. I imagine that there will be plenty of real kids doing just that. In addition, the colors are on trend.

Do you see what I mean?

Bumble & Bloom digital by Her & Hue is an 11 design floral collection that ships in November. I think the designer is on to something with her color selections. The yellows and oranges are refreshing. The colors of these fabrics will help to brighten up a room for sure. Also to note, amongst the flowers, there are some bees and bee hives.

That is the collage of the entire line?

Chicken Shack is by Jan Mott. It is a 15-sku chicken themed collection that ships in October. This sophisticated fowl group is colored in rich shades of red, black, brown, green and gold. To complement the various chicken prints, the group contains chicken wire, foulard and medallion tiles, a wheat toss and texture, sunflowers, as well as a distressed shiplap print. This line will likely be used for lots of stuff for the kitchen like an apron (see the project) as well as a placemat and table runner set (see the project).

Du Jour 108″ by Henry Glass Fabrics is a new wideback that ships in September and comes in 5 colors. It is comprised of lots of overlapping wavy lines in different colors. Lets allow the fabric to speak for itself.

Enchanted Forest by Jane Alison is an 11 design group that ships in December. As the name implies, the line is all about an enchanted forest that has beautiful flowers, plants, bugs and the ever popular, mushroom! Mushrooms are all the rage lately. Do you like mushrooms on your fabrics and quilts?

Little Readers 5 by Dawn Rosengren is a collection of 4 new 36″ panels that can be made up into charming soft fabric books. These books are awesome to use to work on reading with your little ones. These books ship in November and you should be sure to grab them because they will not be available at your local library. The books are Hello Autumn, Hello Winter, Little Ones and You Are Loved.

Peek-a-boo Bunnies by Haley Bush is a 12-sku collection that ships in November. Since this line ships in November, you will have plenty of time to make up some projects for Easter. This line has all the usual suspects for Easter including bunnies, eggs, chicks, carrots and soft pastel colors. It’s a sweet little group great for a kid who can not get enough of all that is Easter.

Scarlet Days & Nights by Color Principle is a 17-sku collection that ships in October. It is a lovely grouping of red, black, grey and white prints. There are florals, paisleys, geometrics, scrolls and butterflies. Just what the doctor ordered to make some awesome quilts. Below is one of the project inspirations for the line. Isn’t it fabulous?

This is a project from www.villarosadesigns.com using Scarlet Days collection.

Soft Spoken digital is another collection by new designer, Goldi L. Studio. This 14 print collection begins shipping in November. 13 of the designs are low volume type simple prints in soft colors as the title implies. The highlight is the placemat print. I think it’s amazing. Check it out!

I love how the Simply Put Table Set looks. That is a project designed by The Fabric Addict that you can buy on their website at www.fabricaddict.net. That place setting is sure to brighten up any meal. Isn’t it charming?

Twisted Ribbons 108″ by Color Principle is another new backing option. The group contains 6 colorways and ships in December. Again, I will let the designs and colors speak for themselves. How cool are these going to look on the back of your next quilt? I love the movement. Amazing!

Where The Wind Blows flannel by Janet Rae Nesbitt of One Sister Designs contains 21 skus and ships in October. We haven’t been producing as much flannel as we have in the past, but that doesn’t stop us from continuing to try. This one is guaranteed to be a winner. It is a traditional One Sister grouping in that it is colored in rich shades of purple, red, orange, blue and more. It also contains many small prints and one feature lead print. In this case, the lead print is a 36″ panel that runs horizontally. See below.

In the past, we printed most of our flannel in Pakistan, but we have moved most of that over to Korea where the quality will be even better than it was before and the printing will be crisper too! You can check the collage below to get a flavor for the other prints that work with the dazzling 36″ panel.

Last, but not least, I have Wings Of Freedom by Erica Christopher. This patriotic collection containing 15 prints ships in December. Let me start off by saying that I am all about patriotic prints. Anything that represents this amazing country where freedom reigns is my cup of tea. This line has it all. There are two 24″ panel prints with various motifs in red, white and blue. One of them features a majestic eagle and in the background there is an American flag waving. Then there is a placemat flag print. This is a winner for sure! Check it out below. Outside of that, the line contains the usual suspects like flags, stars, fireworks, red trucks and pinwheels. There is lots to work with here.

Wow, that was quite exhausting. I sure hope you made it all the way down here to the bottom and you are actually reading these words. Thank you to those who made it this far. I appreciate you taking the time to hear all about the Henry Glass March 2024 release. With that, please post comments in the comments section about your favorite line or lines. I look forward to reading them.

I love Henry Glass. The dogs are adorable. I would love to see more of a return to some true reproduction lines. from the mid-1800’s. If they can be done in Australia, why not more here? Please do not let these slip away. Chintz was king. Bring it back please.

I purchase blueberry fabric every time I see it. Why? It’s the nickname for the US Navy’s digital blue camo. I have two granddaughters and my SIL is in the Navy. I make things to give to them. Currently looking for the perfect lemon fabric to go with it to make them each a reversible blueberry /lemon dress. : )

Oh wow, what a lot of lovely collections! I clicked through to see the collections and I was impressed with all the interesting things that are coming.

Like you, I think the Big Kitties line is fabulous! I know a lot of young mothers who like soothing colors like the neutrals in the line. I envision cute jungle themed nursery decor!

I am always a fan of Janet Rae Nesbitt’s designs and the Where the Wind Blows flannel is wonderful. I can see that it will work well with many of her previous lines, which is a plus in my book.

The Soft Spoken line is a great low volume option with a bit of extra interest. I think the Garden print with the daisies will inspire some quilts with pops of color mixed with the low volume prints.

The Peek A Boo Bunnies line is very cute and would make some cute Easter decor.

The Back in Black line looks interesting and could inspire quilts with black and pops of color. The black on black prints would also add interest to many black and white projects.

I also like the colors and prints in Bumble and Bloom and in Enchanted Forest. And the sweet Little Readers panels showcase Dawn’s talent for drawing cute animals. In addition to using them to make soft books, I sometimes cut panels apart to make blocks for lovely, quick quilts.

Thanks for sharing information about all the great fabrics that are coming!
