My Favorite June Shipping Collections
It’s finally feeling like summer now that it is June. Grab an iced refreshment to stay cool and let’s dive into this! Pass me a Dunkin’ Iced tea no lemon please.
My favorite shipping collection for The Blank Quilting Corporation is Zanzibar. This geometric group is perfect for home decor as its neutral palette coordinates well with many colors. I love the panel in this group as it brings together multiple patterns into one central piece. The panel is a great starting point for a quilt as you can see below in the Stone Blocks and Wheels Quilt.
The abstract dot is a fun textural twist on a classic dot. It also is a great pattern to use as a coordinating fabric for projects using any neutral collection. Create decorative pillows using a different pattern for each one to create a unique but cohesive arrangement. Put on your interior designer hat and make some new home pieces with Zanzibar.
As you all know, Tim Holtz is my favorite so Holidays Past Substrates is my favorite shipping collection for FreeSpirit. What is unique about this group is that it features a few types of fabrics within the collection. There are patterns printed on canvas and flannel. This opens up a world of opportunities for projects. Canvas is quite sturdy making it a great option for a Christmas stocking or a tote bag for the holidays. Flannel, on the other hand, is a cozy option for quilts, pillows and more. I love the postcard collage pattern as it reminds me of the holidays when your mailbox is full of letters from loved ones.
Snow Crew from Henry Glass & Co. is a fun winter group perfect for accenting your holiday decor. The charming snowman blocks are my favorite. Each snowman has such a fun personality and they would be cute for decorative pillows or on a cozy quilt.
It is easy to put together tons of holiday projects with this group. Use the plaid to make placemats for your dining table or make a wine bottle holder to use as a gift for the wine lover in your life. Create mug cozies with the tossed snowman print so little ones don’t burn themselves on a steaming cup of hot cocoa. I know I would love to receive a gift made with this collection.
I am excited to share Field of Seams by Judy Gauthier with you. This group has a ton of fun projects that you can make, including some fashionable jackets. Check out the Tamarack jackets below which are a fun way to experiment with fabric placement in a garment. Watch this TikTok to see the jacket being worn in the end and also see the stunning quilts made with this group.
It is so easy to create stunning projects with this collection. I love the cheater quilt which is shown on the jacket above on the left as it’s a great way to add detail to a simple project. It will look like you spent hours designing whatever you make with it. The ribbon plaid is one of my favorites as it’s a fun twist on a classic pattern. I am hoping I will see lots of people around wearing the Tamarack jacket they made.
That is a wrap on my favorite collections that are shipping out now. I look forward to seeing what projects you will create using fabrics from these groups. Be sure to follow along with all the latest releases by checking out my social media pages and that of all the Jaftex brands.
