October 2024 Release from FreeSpirit Fabrics

In the October release and at Quilt Market, FreeSpirit Fabrics will be spotlighting the values that truly represent the brand. We are thrilled to introduce three incredible new designers as part of the 2025 campaign, the Year of the Designer! Lillian August, Helen Godden, and the very well-known Mary Engelbriet — three phenomenal designers who will bring fresh perspectives and innovative styles to the forefront. Helen Godden

Mary Engelbreit

Mary Engelbreit is first and foremost an artist, but the industry she created around her artwork truly makes her a legend. Known as a contemporary of Norman Rockwell, Mary brings her unique blend of humor and heartfelt moments to life, creating an emotional connection that resonates with everyone. With over 6,500 products, we are thrilled that she chose FreeSpirit to re-enter the world of quilting.

We hope you are all as excited as we are about the Tim Holtz Eclectic Elements Palette program. Twelve color stories over twelve months, starting to deliver soon. Pink Palette in October, Red Palette in November, Orange Palette in December, Yellow Palette for January, Neutral Palette in February, and Green Palette in March. Now, we introduce the Teal Palette for April, the Blue Palette for May, and the Indigo Palette for June.

Of course, we would be remiss if we did not mention the Quilt Market introduction of Tula Pink’s 50th collection. This will take place during the Quilt Market Premier Event, on Friday, October 25th at 10 AM. Until then, all we can reveal is a sneak peek to whet your quilting appetite. In addition to this exciting collection, there are four new 108″ sateen quilt backs, a plethora of pre-cuts, and a new kit to challenge your creativity.

The list goes on.  There are nearly 80 quilts featuring both collection-specific and re-order fabrics from the October fabric release. Bright, colorful, 60s-inspired art from Sue Penn’s Soda Pop. Color-washed gorgeous pastel and moody florals in After the Rain by Denise Burkitt. More iconic colors and art in Red House by The Original Morris & Co. are fashioned after their ready-made merchandise like wallpaper and rugs. Primary colorful, geometrics in Kaleidoscope by Bill Reue, the collection name says it all.

Renaissance Ribbons Witchy Ways and The 12 Days of Christmas matched Cori Dantini’s collections by the same name.

    So many gorgeous lines surely doesn’t make it easy. I always love Sue Penn and her vibrant colors and designs. I am most looking forward to Tim Holtz’s Pallette which my LQS is getting all of and has a program so I too am going to get some of all of the palettes each month and can’t wait to see it in person!!! And of course am waiting on the edge of my seat for the release of Tula Pink’s 50th collection!!! Cannot wait!!! What an exciting time 😍
