Our friends over at Missouri Star Quilt Co released a fantastic new quilting tutorial this week! It’s called the Floating Squares Quilt and we think it looks pretty great with our Peppered Cottons fabrics. It uses a Peppered Cottons Charm Pack and Peppered Cottons yardage!  

I am frequently asked about the origins of Studioe, so today I am going to give you a little history about how it all began. In the mid 1980’s, Fabric Editions started doing business under the ownership of the Debbie Scott and her husband.  The mission of the company was to become the leader in precut fabrics for the major fabric chains and they surely did just that.  Somewhere along the way the company changed hands and it became part of a small family conglomerate called Fendrich Industries.  In hindsight, Fendrich probably paid too much for the company and they battled to make the investment profitable.  Moreover, several large preexisting…

  Last Monday at around 6 pm I was walking to Penn Station with my dad to go catch the 611 train.  We travel on the same Long Island Railroad line together which is great…especially on this day.  Around 605 we peered down the steep stairway to the Penn Station lobby level and had no idea what was in store for us.  My dad opted for the escalator and I opted for the steps…literally within arms length of each other.   Around a quarter the way down I looked over at my dad who looked pale.  He was complaining during the day that he wasn’t feeling well.  I guess you now know where this is going.  I asked…
