Scott’s Picks For The Jaftex October 2021 Release

This week I would like to draw your attention to a few of my favorite lines from the Jaftex 2021 October release. Let me remind you that a release is when we introduce new lines to our entire customer base. Those lines are then presold to our customers and will eventually ship to them around March 2022 all the way up to June/July. When these lines ship out, that is what we call the rollout i.e. when we start rolling the fabrics out to the stores.

With that, allow me to tell you about my favorite lines from each company and why I like them.

The Blank Quilting Corp.: Rock & Bowl by Urban Essence Designs is one of my favorites from The Blank Quilting Corp. The reason why I love this line is because I am secretly a lover of bowling.

Back in the day when I was young, dumb and single, one time I went on a blind date and took the young lady bowling. That evening, I had an out-of-body bowling experience. Yes seriously! The bowling gods were looking down on me as I bowled 224. This was nowhere near a score I ever bowled before and I haven’t come near that score since. In fact, I don’t think I have ever broken 200, but for this one time. I could only imagine what my date thought about that and maybe it contributed to the fact that we didn’t have another date. LOL!

FreeSpirit Fabrics: Log Tavern Road by William Reue is one of my favorites from FreeSpirit Fabrics. The reason that I picked this line is because when I was a kid, I aspired to be an architect like William Reue. I just love how Willam translates the architecture into fabric designs. His works are so colorful and I can see how they all would work so well when cut up to make an awesomely creative and appealing quilt. I also loved William’s debut line called Madison One.

Henry Glass Fabrics: Fall Potpourri by Andrea Tachiera is one of my favorites from Henry Glass Fabrics. What I love about this line is that the colors are so fresh and striking. The colors work great together and when you add in the metallic accents, this fabric is sure to brighten up your holiday decor and make everyone say, “Wow.”

Don’t you just love how sophisticated these pumpkins are in these non-traditional colors? Kudos to you Andrea Tachiera for putting a new twist on the Fall as this will certainly make a splash.

Studio E Fabrics: Alpine Skin by Victoria Borges is one of my favorites from Studio E Fabrics. Since I moved, my family and I have taken up skiing. Where we live is a lot more accessible to ski mountains as compared to where we used to live. We are loving it. It’s amazing to be outside enjoying the great outdoors. Skiing is such an awesome family entertainment that we can all enjoy and feel pretty safe about catching Covid. This fabric brings back lots of memories of some great family ski trips and for that reason, I am really loving this line and all the memories it conjures up. I just love how fabrics can help to transport us back to special times in our past. Don’t you too?

3 Wishes: Dog In The City by Weekday Best is one of my favorites from 3 Wishes. Anyone who follows me probably knows why I picked this one. Yes, of course, it is because I now have a new puppy. This line is so fun, loud and in your face. I am just loving the graffiti look as well as all the fabulous dog images. I mean, check this image below. How fun? And that is why I selected this adorable doggie collection as one of my favs.

I would love to hear from you about which of the October 2021 lines from Jaftex are your favorite. Please share in the comments.

Have a great day!
