#ScottSentMe2024 Is Nearing The End…..Forever!

Would you believe that we are nearing the end of the 3-month journey that I like to call #ScottSentMe2024? (This is my challenge to consumers to see how many quilt shops they can visit during September, October & November). Well, I hate to break it to you, but if you include today, there are only 6 days left to play. I know…..you feel like I feel…..very sad! But seriously, you all know that you can still cover a nice bunch of shops in 6 days. So keep the party….I mean the car rolling. You never know, your visits these last days could be the difference between you winning or not.

I am very pleased with how the challenge is running this year, but for the participation level shrinking. To be honest, I thought we had turned the corner, but I think this challenge has run its course and there are so many other shop hops and things for consumers to participate in. You can see for yourself how much the Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/scottsentme2024/) grew this year, but that didn’t coincide with the participation level. All good things come to an end. This will likely be the last year unless there is some Christmas miracle. It’s time for my team to go back to the drawing board and come up with a new challenge. Stay tuned.

Before I go, I wanted to query the group to see how many shops you think the winner will visit this year? Please post your guess in the comments section. Whoever is closest will win a prize. I am going to take a gander and say the winner will go to 125 shops. I am hoping the winner will beat the highest # of visits reached in years past, but last year’s winner went to over 270 shops and that was a hell of a lot. I should have known that 270 would be the climax and there was no beating that.

We are all winners because we got to be out enjoying the quilting world. We got to see the world! We got to travel with friends, spouses and relatives. Hopefully, you met some new quilting friends too! What is better than that? With all the madness going on in the world, my little contest is a modicum of light for us all to enjoy. All participants should be proud whether they visited one ship or 200. Nice effort all around.
