The Jaftex Video Challenge Transitions Perfectly Into The #ScottSentMe2024 Consumer Challenge

It’s nice to see some new retailers taking part in the video challenge this year. I am very excited and encouraged thus far by the submissions. Let’s keep it going strong!

I have noticed great improvements in the quality of the videos, in general, this year, especially since we started this challenge 7 years ago. Many of you have come a very long way and your videos are just amazing!

Please continue to support this contest by encouraging business owners to make a Facebook live video. Also, please take some time to go to my @JaftexPresident – Facebook Page to enjoy the tours that are posted there so far. The videos will remain posted on my Facebook page for the rest of August and beyond. Take the opportunity to transport yourself to fabric stores around the US and Canada. It will be the cheapest vacation you take all year…assuming you don’t buy too many of the amazing fabrics that are available at the shops. Ok, maybe it won’t be the cheapest…lol. Or, maybe it will be the most expensive trip. You will have to decide for yourself.

With that all being said, I want to mention how truly amazing it feels to see so many of the contest participants show off the products that the Jaftex companies produce. It’s an honor to have such great customers who speak so highly of our products, our team and our companies in general. You are going to think I am a baby, but some of the videos make me tear up as it just feels so good to see the hard work of my team in creating the fabrics come to fruition on the videos. The only thing better than that is seeing the final projects that are made with Jaftex fabrics by the ultimate consumers.

What’s truly amazing is that I saw most of these fabric lines being developed from their inception. Now, those same lines are in shops almost a year from the time they were conceived. I am sure that consumers can relate to these feelings as they wait so long from the time we start showing a line to when it is actually available for purchase.

Now, onto the master plan and the main purpose of this blog post. The master plan is that we host the Jaftex Facebook Live Video Challenge for the entire month of August. This contest is for my Jaftex customers aka business owners that buy directly from Jaftex. The thing is that we take the programming and fun a step further by following up the customer challenge with a challenge for what I like to call, “My customers’ customers” aka consumers like you. That contest is called #ScottSentMe2024.

With that, allow me to invite you to join the #ScottSentMe2024 Challenge Facebook page. Come and join the fun and see where people are going and what they are seeing and saying. You might even make some new friends or be invited to be part of the #ScottSentMePosse. (Yes, that is a thing! Hi posse!) Plus, this year, #ScottSentMe2024 is going GLOBAL! That is sure to help shake things up.

In August, we all get to enjoy virtually visiting oodles of fabric businesses. Then, we kick it into second gear when consumers visit as many fabric businesses as they can from September to the end of November. That is the crux of the #ScottSentMe2024 Challenge. The key is that shops that participate in the Jaftex Facebook Live Video Challenge should be rewarded for doing their video. As such, the hope is that the video challenge participants get the most visits for #ScottSentMe2024 because they put themselves out there and welcomed new consumers to their shops with their videos.

We will have more details on the #ScottSentMe2024 contest soon, but in the meantime, I wanted to explain how it made perfect sense for one contest to follow the other. Anyone who is going to participate in the #ScottSentMe2024 Challenge should be watching all the videos. You should treat the videos as advertisements or rather invitations to that business for the #ScottSentMe2024 Challenge. In other words, if you consumers see a shop you like, you should plan to go see it in person.

In a nutshell, I just wanted to explain to you how there is a method to my madness. It’s important to keep both customers and consumers alike entertained in this new world we live in. I also want to show the world how the Jaftex team is pushing the envelope to contribute to bridging the gap between consumers and retailers. We are also working hard to get our industry as much exposure as possible. In the end, everyone in the fabric industry wins when our exposure rises in a meaningful way.

Thanks for playing along and contributing to making our industry more amazing than it was yesterday by getting involved with all these different forms of what I like to call fabric-tainment brought to you by me and your friends at the Jaftex Companies!

Be safe out there, ya hear?
