My Favorite May Shipping Collections

I hope you all had a nice weekend. Today, I am here to tell you about my favorite May shipping collections from my companies. I am excited about the May shipping lines because May is when we start to ship our Christmas collections. In spite of the fact that I do not celebrate Christmas, it’s exciting for me to see all the great holiday lines we are putting out for those that do celebrate Christmas. Let’s just say that I get a vicarious thrill seeing all the celebratory Christmas lines. So without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite May shipping collections.

I am going to get things rolling with my fav from The Blank Quilting Corp. My favorite Blank May shipping collection is Jingle & Mingle by Sinead Jones. This line actually has metallic in it and that is really what is catching my attention. We don’t do that many metallic lines, but when we do, they really shine. Even better, I love that the team has decided to use the metallic with a Christmas collection because that is something fresh from Blank and it really makes it special. That means the projects made with this fabric will be special too. Check out this image below of all the metallic Christmas tree ornaments. Don’t they look awesome?

Or how about this fabulous 24″ panel? It’s blinging out!

For an honorable mention from Blank, I would like to draw your attention to My Cowboy Gave To Me by Tana Mueller of Western Denim & Dirt. I like this line because Western Christmas isn’t the most common theme. When we design Western-themed Christmas, no one does it better than Tana Mueller of Western Denim & Dirt. Check out the fun 36″ panel of the 12 Days of Western Xmas. How fabulous!

Alrighty then, moving on to FreeSpirit. It’s probably pretty obvious that I am going to pick a Tim Holtz line as my favorite because Tim is one of my favorite designers, but please don’t spill the beans to any of the other designers. His designs just speak to me. With that, I am picking Frightful. This line is pretty neat because it has 3 designs in canvas which is pretty new for us. In addition, there are 4 regular 44″ cotton prints too. Combine the two groups together and you have Halloween magic. This is my favorite canvas design below. It’s just so unique and out there. Tim, you did it again!

As for the regular 44″ cotton prints, my favorite from the Frightful group is this design below called Spells. We always do well with text prints and this one should be no different.

For runner-up for FreeSpirit, I am going to have to go with Rachel Hauer’s Halloween collection called Storybook Halloween. The art that Rachel has put together for this line is so detailed and quite frightening and creepy. You did well Rachel! Here are a few of my favorite prints. Can you say creepy?

Or what about this one? Yes, also creepy!

Next up, we have Henry Glass! This might surprise you, but I am going to have to go with Kim Diehl’s Willow Hollow. What I love about this line is all the shades of blue and green. Kim could have done any of her designs in this line and they would have been equally good, but for me, I just can’t get enough of all the shades of blue and green used. Look at how fabulous these projects look below.

For honorable mention, I am going to have to go with Jan Shade Beach’s Holiday Spirit. For me, I am still into the holiday lines with the red trucks that have remained popular for so long now. I also love the snow so any snowy scenic is a winner for me. This block print below has a little bit of everything for you to enjoy!

Last, but definitely not least, my favorite Studio E line is the Bones Collection by Melissa Wang. This 12-piece collection has a nice fresh twist on Halloween. The combination of beautiful flowers and butterflies with scary Halloween motifs is interesting, to say the least. Although these motifs probably wouldn’t go together normally, Melissa does a nice job getting us to wrap our brains around mixing these motifs together in a fabric line. What do you think?

For runner-up, my pick is Holly Berry Park by Art Loft. There is nothing like a purely traditional Christmas line, but what I love the most are the two things below. One is a tree stocking design which is always very popular. The other is a fabulous 24″ panel which is stunning.

What do you think of my selections?

Jingle & Mingle is elegant, love it. Holiday Spirit is classic, I love it more! We are looking forwrad to Willow Hollow arriving any day. Our last Kim Diehl line sold out before we could make a sample. This one we will sample so I can take it home with me after the line sells. Advantages of being the boss, right?
Keep up the good work, Scott!
