Semester With Scott: The Midterm

Wow, this semester has really flown by and I bet you know what that means…..time for MIDTERMS! The mid-term is going to be an oral exam and it will be similar to my Jaftex Trivia Coronavirus Quarantine from earlier this year. The exam will consist of 16 questions of which 4 questions will come from each of the 4 sessions we have had thus far.

You can find all the videos on my @jaftexpresident Facebook page. As for the blogs, you can find those on this site at www.scottfortunoff.com.

As a reminder, the videos and blogs you need to study are on these subjects listed below:

  • Week 1: Designing a fabric line. How we come up with our collections. All the people involved with the creation of a line.
  • Week 2: Building a collection. All the key components of a collection.
  • Week 3: Sampling the collections.
  • Week 4: Who are our customers and how do we sell to them?
Pyramid of Fabric Design

In order to keep the exam moving along, the first correct answer will be the prize winner for each question. Moreover, you can only win 1 prize on the exam. If you win, I suggest you then take out a piece of paper and write down the answers to see how you would have done or root on your fellow exam takers. Or, of course, you can always heckle me, the professor. Then you can determine if you actually learned something from your’s truly. Yay!

Prizes!!

With that, the exam is going to be a Facebook live video and I am hoping to have some 5G help as I will need a proctor. The exam will take place on November 11 (my dad’s bday) at 7:30 pm eastern time. Be there or be square and don’t forget your #2 pencil. Study up! Good luck to all.

Thank you Scott for all this new information about the fabric world! I hope I have studied enough to win a sweet prize! (Between report cards and Parent Teacher Conferencs this week!)
I love learning and you are a great professor! I’m glad that I can go back and watch the sessions if I don’t get home from school in time to see you live.
