Sewing Machine Giveaways Are Baaaacccccckkkkk!

Hey everybody, have you heard the news? I am back to some of my old tricks. What tricks you might ask? I am sure you can figure that out from the title of this blog post. With that, you will be happy to know that I was able to acquire nearly 140 sewing machines that I am going to start giving away to some very lucky winners on behalf of me and the Jaftex Companies!

Yes! I am going to give them away. This time however is going to be a little different as we need to keep the process simpler and easier to manage. On that note, this blog is going to be one way I am going to start the ball rolling on giving sewing machines away. Let me explain.

Starting today, February 1st, 2023, and on the first of every month for the rest of the year at 8 AM eastern time, I will direct you to an Instagram page (see the bottom of this post). It could be mine or it could be the Instagram page of any of my companies (The Blank Quilting Corporation, FreeSpirit Fabrics, Henry Glass Fabrics or 3 Wishes). Then, starting on the 7th of that same month at 12:01 AM E.T., there will be a question on said Instagram page. You will have to follow the Instagram page and also answer the question.

If your answer is the most compelling answer to that question in my mind, you will be selected as the winner. If more than one answer is compelling, I won’t be afraid to give away more than one. I will announce you as the winner on the post and then we will figure out how to coordinate the receipt of the machine. You will have until 11:59 PM E.T. on the 10th of that month to get your answer in for a chance to win that month’s giveaway. After that, you will have to wait for the next month to have a chance to win on one of the other Instagram pages. That’s it. Keeping it simple!

Oh yeah, a few important rules. This is only for consumers in the US & Canada. No Jaftex customers, employees or relatives of employees can win. You will have to provide me with a little bit of proof as asked. You can only win one time. This is my contest so I make all the rules and my rulings will be fair and final.

Now that you know how the contest works, let me just tell you a little bit about the machines. The reason why I want to tell you about the machines is that I would be remiss if I didn’t thank my friends over at Bernina who allowed me to acquire the machines at a very reasonable price. Not only that, but they were even kind enough to donate 25 of their own machines to my cause too. How awesome and kind of them is that? Together, we are going to make a difference which I love and am very proud about.

In prior years, when I was able to acquire sewing machines, I also got them from Bernina. I couldn’t thank them enough for their support of what I did in the past and what I am doing now. They are kind and generous and the type of company that I want to work with and will continue to work with.

Before I go though, I would like to mention a little bit about the machines. The large majority of the machines are Sparrow 30s and Sparrow 25 as seen in the photos above. The rest of the machines are a mish-mosh that includes Sparrow 15s, 20s and 30s. For this giveaway, the winner will get the Sparrow 30s or Sparrow 25. Please note that these are very much opening price point sewing machines so please don’t expect the latest Bernina 770 QE Plus Kaffe Fassett Edition or something like that. LOL!

Finally, before I go, I want to tell you which Instagram page you need to go follow today. Thereafter, starting on the 7th of the month, you need to go answer my question. Make sure to keep the answers concise and make sure you answer the question. The window to respond to my question is February 7th at 12:00 a.m. EST through February 10th at 11:59 p.m. EST.

    I am a senior citizen with a limited income. No sewing machine with me. Trying to get one
    S machine free. Doing all my work by hand is very difficult. Strictly for my own purpose. I hope
    this is sufficient for you. Thanks for giving away the machine program- Leela

    I need a sewing machine very badly for my use. I am a senior citizen with a limited income. Previously I had
    singer sewing machine and twice I repaired by paying 300 hundred dollars,I threw the machine in the garbage and I don’t have any machine I am sewing by hand and it very very difficult for me to do.

    I am sooo sad right now. You see, I am not from the US or Canada; I am from the small, 3rd world country of the Philippines. I have for a very long time wished of having a sewing machine, eversince my grandma’s old machine was damaged by the super typhoon Haiyan back in 2013. If only there was a way to win one thru this promo…

      I still think, often about the machines you donated for the kids to use.

      Linda, you can make a closed Instagram account and not accept followers. You can still follow others like Scott and participate in contests. I won a cute box of items from Misty Doan of MSQC by following on Instagram. She included a beautiful pincushion that she had made!
