Let Talk About The Henry Glass March 2024 Release
As I have mentioned before, Henry Glass is an anomaly in that the company has a March and May release, whereas Studio E, The Blank Quilting Corp. and FreeSpirit only have an April release. In this March 2024 release, there are 15 new lines shipping from September 2024 to January 2025. Why don’t we dive in? A Place To Call Home by Grace Violet Designs is the first line to discuss. The collection contains 12 prints and will ship in November. As you know, I am a dog fan so this one is certainly up my alley. The dogs in the collection are well-drawn and super cute. What’s great about…

Introducing The Jaftex Brand Ambassador Class of 2024!
The Program The Jaftex Brand Ambassador program was launched in January 2020. We have a wonderful group of passionate fabric fans who love creating projects and enjoy being active on social media. These are quilters and sewers who enjoy sharing their love of this craft on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and/or a personal blog. Create, Engage, Share We send the brand ambassadors packages full of fabrics based on their style. We also send tonals and backings. Once the brand ambassadors receive the fabrics, they have one month to complete one major quilt project or at least three small projects. What they choose to create is up to them. In addition…

Freight, What Is It Good For?
This blog post is long overdue. Unfortunately, there were a lot of more pressing blog posts that needed to come before it. Without further ado, this is a blog that should have been posted January 1. As the title of this blog implies, this post is going to be about freight. Why, you might ask? The reason is that freight is a hot button issue for businesses and consumers alike who get stuff shipped for them or to them. The thing is that people just want their stuff and they do not want to pay for anything more than the item they are purchasing. Unfortunately, the reality is that someone…

My Favorite February 2024 Shipping Collections
It’s hard to believe that we are already 1 month into the new year. How are your resolutions going? Mine are going great because I did not make any this year. With that, let’s get into my favorites for the month. My favorite shipping collection for the Blank Quilting Corporation is Jaded Forest by Anna Bailey. This whimsical woodland collection has soothing colors perfect for decorating a bedroom. I love how easy it is to mix and match the different nature-inspired patterns. Put together pinecones with owls hooting high up in trees above. The block panel is a great place to get started with ideas. Use it for imagery in…

Today, I am reviewing the last of them so without further ado, let’s dive right into the Studio E January 2024 Release. We start with American Pride by Geoff Allen. It is a traditional patriotic group that ships in August. This line contains 14 designs that scream Americana, but have some sophisticated hints of the very popular rooster. Of note in this line is the pillow panel print below which can be used for placemats also. In addition, there is…

January 2024 Release Highlights From The Blank Quilting Corporation
In the January 2024 Blank Quilting Corporation release of new lines for sale, there are 13 collections that will be shipping from July to September 2024. You will notice that there are more digital lines than normal as that allows us more flexibility with the printing quantities. In other words, unlike traditional printing where you have to print a minimum of 800-1000 yards, with digital, we can print less. This is very helpful in allowing us to manage our inventory better. One other thing to mention, we recently moved our digital printing from Pakistan to Korea and the quality is way better. Up first, we have Cheerful Cheeks digital by…

January 2024 Release Highlights From Henry Glass Fabrics
Before I dive into the blog for the week, I wanted to wish everyone a meaningful Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It is a day to honor and reflect on what Dr. King stood for and to recognize how far we have come to achieve equality for so many. In the newest release from Henry Glass Fabrics, there are 15 new collections that ship in the summer of 2024. Let’s dive right into it so I can dazzle you with all the awesomeness. Blue Prints, by Color Principle, is the first collection on the list. This 15-sku collection is full of blueness as is implied in the line title. Various…

My Favorite January 2024 Shipping Collections
Happy New Year everyone! Have any quilting-related resolutions this year? I’m excited to tell you all about my favorite shipping collections for January 2024! My favorite collection from Blank Quilting is Ocean Oasis by Patricia Pinto. This group is the perfect escape from the cold weather in January. It brings back fond memories of being at the beach with my family. The sound of waves crashing to the shore is always so peaceful. This group has two free projects available on the Blank Quilting Corp. website. Shown below is the Framework Quilt. How many fish can you count in the Schools of Fish pattern? Looking at all the swimming fish…

Resolutions, What Are They Good For?
As we kick off a new year called 2024, like many of you, I am thinking about New Year’s resolutions and hoping for a great year ahead. However, right now, I am struggling to put my resolutions onto paper. I have enough on my plate just dealing with inflation, war, an election year, poor consumer sentiment, life, work, family, my health and getting by. In years past, I vowed to stop drinking soda, exercise more and not eat red meat among other forgettable resolutions. With the exception of a few of those resolutions, most resolutions have faded to black and have become nothing more than failures or just short-term changes.…
